In 1992, Duke University had the opportunity to set itself apart from the rest of the college basketball world and establish itself as a true dominant figure, one that could draw comparisons to the great UCLA teams of the past. Lead by seniors Christian Laettner and Brian Davis, the Blue Devils looked to secure their place in history by defeating a Michigan team that featured five amazing freshman known as the Fab Five.<p>The victory handed Duke the 1992 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, becoming the first team since John Wooden's UCLA dynasty to repeat as tournament champions, and securing Duke's place as one of the most dominant programs of our time.
